Christoph Heesch

Christoph Heesch is one of the most interesting up-and-coming artists on the music scene. Born into a family of musicians in Berlin in 1995, Christoph began playing the cello at the age of six. As a 2019 Fanny Mendelssohn Prize winner, he was awarded his debut album ‘The Golden Age: Cello 1925’, which was honoured with an ICMA 2019 in the ‘Concertos’ category.
Christoph Heesch is one of the most interesting up-and-coming artists on the music scene. His solo and chamber music activities, playing in chamber orchestras and symphonic formations as well as stylistically critical music-making, taking into account all the technical skills of contemporary instrumental playing and a rousing and integrating interaction with an audience of all ages and backgrounds are essential components of a holistic contemporary concept of music for him.
